By spreading our extensive knowledge of the sport and providing a hub of free knowledge for the world to view, Total-Boxing-Info.com will have taken positive steps into helping rebuild the sport of amateur and professional boxing. The training programs available on this site are totally free and available for boxers and everyday people wishing to live a healthier and more positive lifestyle.

Our experienced staff and contributers carry a high level of integrity in all aspects of the sport from business, training, and general knowledge to fitness and training programs for everyday people wishing to lose weight and tone up. Our team have a wealth of experience within all aspects of the sport and have dedicated countless time and energy towards representing it in a positive way. Being involved in all avenues from training, competition and management, you can be sure that the knowledge you receive is truly world class. Our mission is to serve our readers and the sport of boxing positively.

Pj Magno De Best:

Total-Boxing-Info.com was created and continually maintained by Pj Magno De Best. Pj earned an International Master Trainer Diploma from the Australian Institute of Fitness that included many fitness based components such as certification level III and IV in fitness, rehabilitation, nutrition, one-on-one training, group exercise essentials, fitness leadership, fitness essentials, advanced programming, strength and sports conditioning, gym instruction, first aid, fitness business and exercise science.

Pj, who grew up in the Australian fight town of Mount Isa, began boxing at an early age at his local Police Citizens Youth Club before moving to Sydney and learning the trade more thoroughly through the guidance of the Tszyu Boxing Academy and the many other great coaches and gyms within the city. To this day he maintains a great passion for the sport that has shaped his character. Pj is a certified level 1 boxing coach in the state of New South Wales, Australia which he has trained countless amateur fighters.

Pj has previously owned and helped refurbish boxing gyms in his native homeland of the Philippines as well as co-trained both highly rated amateur and professional prize fighters. The Negros Amateur Boxing Association (N.A.B.A) of Bacolod City, The Philippines rewarded Pj's efforts within the sport by appointing him the current director of International Affairs. He now currently resides in The United States and is starting his journey once again as a boxing coach in a new scenery.

Jim Amato:

Jim Amato is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He is a longtime avid fan of the Browns and Indians. Although he enjoys baseball and football his true passion is boxing.

Jim began covering fights in 1992 reporting on the Roberto Duran-Ken Hulsey fight in Cleveland for Boxing Illustrated. He has since contributed articles to Boxing World, Boxing Times, Heavyhitters, Cleveland's East Side Daily newspaper, The Neutral Corner and the IBRO Journal. He has also had articles posted on several on line boxing sites. Jim started his own web site, Amato Boxing in May of 2005.

Jim is a member of the Boxing Writers Association Of America (BWAA) and is also a member of the International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO), that was once directed by Hall Of Famer Ralph Citro. Boxing notables, the late Hank Kaplan and Harold Lederman were among IBRO's members.

Jim is on the Publicity Committee for the American Association For The Improvement Of Boxing (AAIB) that was co-founded by Steve Acunto and the late Rocky Marciano. He is a member of the Ohio State Former Boxers And Associates and the Trumbull County Of Ohio Legends Of Leather, President Sal Marino. Jim was inducted into the Legends Of Leather Hall Of Fame in 2006 for Journalistic Excellence. He is also a past member of the Society For American Baseball Research (SABR).

Shawn Murphy:

Shawn Murphy hails from Potomac, Illinois. He started watching boxing at the young age of 6 and remains a fanatical fan of boxing during the 1960-1980’s. His interest is retired fighters from these eras and he makes it his mission to keep them out there in the news.

Shawn’s interviews have appeared on dozens of sites and he writes a monthly column titled “Where Are They Now” for the publication Boxing Collectors News.

He is a member of the International Boxing Research Organization and also the American Association for the Improvement of Boxing. He is also a proud supporter of the Retired Boxers Foundation. Shawn hopes to pass his love for the sweet science on to his son. Shawn would love to hear from fans who share his passion for the retired fighters and always welcomes suggestions for future interviews.
